This article outlines how organizations can reconfigure their existing Entra ID SSO connection to the standard Udemy SSO Infrastructure.
- For additional information, see How to reconfigure your SSO connection from the legacy experience.
- For configuring with OIDC, see this article.
Prerequisites
Before getting started, make sure you have admin access to both Entra and Udemy.
How to reconfigure your SSO connection in Entra ID With SAML
-
In your SSO settings In Udemy Business, navigate to Manage → Settings → Single sign-on. You'll see a prompt to reconfigure your connection in the top right hand corner of your current connection overview.
- Start the new configuration: Click Reconfigure SSO to enter the edit settings experience.
-
A custom Service Provider (SP) Entity ID will be generated. Copy this value.
- Go into your Udemy Application in Entra and go to the Single Sign On settings.
- In the Basic SAML Configuration section, click Edit.
-
Update the following values:
Identifier (Entity ID): Update the value to the SP Entity ID value you copied in the Udemy Portal
Reply URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL): https://sso.udemy.com/api/oauth/saml
Sign on URL (Optional): https://{{domain}}.udemy.com/
Relay State (Optional): Remove this value or leave it blank.
- Save the changes in Entra ID.
- Exit Basic SAML Configuration.
- Go back to Udemy, save the connection and test by logging in to your Udemy portal with a private or incognito window.
Reverting to your previous configuration
A revert option is available if you experience authentication issues after reconfiguring, for example if users are unable to log in, you can revert to your previous connection while you troubleshoot.
To do so, go to Admin Tools > Settings > Single sign-on and click Revert to previous in the top right corner of your connection overview. Once you've resolved the issue, you can reconfigure again at any time.

Note: If your SSO connection was originally set up by Udemy's team (a managed connection), you won't be able to reconfigure it directly from the self-serve UI. Please contact your Customer Success Manager or our support team to schedule your migration.
