How to access assessments
Users can follow the steps below to access assessments:
1. Hover over the Explore menu at the top of your home page, then click “Measure skills with Assessments”.
2. From the Assessments landing page, you can browse or search for a specific assessment.
- Note for admins: Admins can also assign assessments, which will generate an email to the relevant learners. Learn how to assign assessments and create auto-assign rules.
How to start and complete a Domain assessment
1. To find an assessment with the Domain assessment experience, look for the “domain” tag on the assessment card.
2. Click Get started on the assessment card.
Please note: Not all assessments are available to take in the domain assessment experience. If you do not see the ability to select domains, the selected assessment is not available with domain assessments.
3. Review the available domains, then select Assess next to the domain to begin its assessment.
4. Each assessment includes 10 multiple-choice or multi-select questions.
- If you skip a question, the topic will be marked as an area for improvement. Both skipped questions and incorrect answers will influence the recommended lectures provided at the end of the domain assessment.
- If you exit the domain assessment before answering all the questions and come back within 24 hours, you can pick up where you left off. Otherwise, you can start a new session for the same domain and receive a different set of questions.
For each domain assessment, you have two attempts available per 24 hours.
- By limiting assessment attempts, we aim to help you make the most out of your learning experience by encouraging you to take the time to engage with the learning content on Udemy Business. You can then reapply your newly solidified knowledge when retaking the assessment.
5. When you complete a domain assessment, you will receive your proficiency score for that specific domain on the results page.
To receive an overall assessment score, you must complete all the domain assessments within a given skills assessment. You can choose to retake domain assessments to improve your proficiency score for that select domain.
Switching between assessment modes
Once you begin an assessment in either Domain or Full mode, you should continue in that mode to preserve your progress. While you can switch modes at any time, doing so will reset your progress from your original starting mode.
Course and lecture recommendations
Once you’ve completed a domain assessment, you'll see the results page, where you can view your proficiency level and dive into detailed explanations for each question.
- Learn more about assessment benchmarking scores.
After completing your domain assessment, you'll receive a personalized course recommendation based on your results. Select Enroll now to enroll in the recommended course and receive guidance focused on the areas where you can improve.
Once you’re in the recommended course, you can see specific sections or lectures highlighted for you based on your skill set.
These recommendations will be based on the domain assessments you have completed, not the entire assessment. As you complete more domain assessments, more recommended learnings will appear.
