This article outlines how admins and course creators can turn on or off the practice mode for practice tests, which have been added to custom courses in your Udemy Business account.
How to turn practice mode on or off for custom courses
For custom courses, the practice mode for practice tests will automatically be turned off. When the practice mode is turned off:
- The mode selection screen will not be available
- Learners will not be able to use practice mode
- Learners will only have access to exam mode
If you wish to enable practice mode for practice tests that have been added to your custom courses, please follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the instructor Courses page by clicking Teach at the top of your screen.
2. Select the course you wish to update
3. Click the settings icon at the top right of the page.
4. Scroll to “Practice test configurations” to enable or disable practice mode.
5. Click “Save”
Please note: For all other non-custom courses, practice mode will automatically be turned. Currently, there is no option to disable the practice mode for these courses. When the practice mode is turned on:
- Mode selection screen will be available
- Learners can select either Practice or Exam mode
