Downloading Courses for Offline Viewing on The iOS App

This article explains how to download entire courses, course sections, or course lectures for offline viewing in the Udemy Business iOS app. We also provide instructions on how to update your course download settings to reduce mobile data usage.

  • Learn how to remove downloaded courses on the Udemy Business iOS app.
  • Accessing Udemy Business on a different device? Learn how to download courses on the Android app.

Please note: Due to privacy concerns, downloaded courses are encrypted and can only be accessed through the mobile app. Not all courses and course resources, including practice tests, are available for download.

Downloading entire courses for offline viewing

1. After signing into the Udemy Business mobile app, tap My learning.

2. Tap on the course you wish to take.

3. Tap on the download icon on the right side of Lectures.

4. Tap Download Course.

Downloading course sections or course lectures

You can also download all of the courses in particular sections or individual course lectures on the iOS mobile app.

To download a course section, tap the download icon on the right of the section header. Then, tap Download Section.

To download a course lecture, tap the download icon on the right of the lecture name.

Viewing downloaded courses offline

To view all course downloads, tap on the Downloads section under the course title.

Regaining access to downloaded content

Please note: Due to certain platform security measures, some downloaded course content will expire after 30 days. To regain access to the downloaded content, simply connect your mobile device to the internet.

Update your course download data settings

1. After signing in to the Udemy Business mobile app, tap Account.

2. Under Video Preferences, tap Download Options.

To reduce your course data storage, tap on Video download quality and select your quality preference.

To avoid data usage, tap Download over Wi-Fi only. If you play downloaded lectures while your mobile data is still turned on, the Udemy Business app will not use mobile data to load the video content.

Please note: When using the mobile app, some mobile data may be used when loading features or updating your course progress. To prevent the use of any mobile data, we recommend turning mobile data usage off for the app from your device’s system settings.

To clear up your iOS device storage, please refer to our Help Center Article on deleting downloaded courses for offline viewing on the Udemy Business mobile app.
